About the Department / Curriculum Planning

In order to effectively enhance and mould the department’s students into cross-media, multi media professionals, and the department has developed its curriculum with five main areas of study: communication studies, news editing, electronic media (radio and television), advertising and public relations and digital media courses. These five areas of study encompass basic to advanced required courses with the aim of preparing graduates to possess the necessary media industry knowledge and skills upon entering the job market. The core of the required master’s program curriculum courses includes communication theory, quantification, qualitative research methods, and communication strategy and regulations. The elective courses cover all other sub-areas in the study of communication.
